June 2026 Housing Market Update

If you’ve been following the Byron real estate market over the past few years, you’ll know that this community continues to be one of the most sought-after neighbourhoods in London, Ontario.
Whether it’s the mature tree-lined streets, excellent schools, Springbank Park, Boler Mountain, or the small-town atmosphere within the city, Byron continues to attract families, professionals, retirees, and first-time buyers looking for more than just a house. They’re looking for a lifestyle.
So how did Byron perform during June 2026?
Let’s take a closer look.
June 2026 Byron Market at a Glance
June continued to demonstrate why Byron remains one of London’s most desirable neighbourhoods.
Although buyers have considerably more choice than they did during the peak seller’s market of 2021 and 2022, well-maintained homes in desirable locations continue to attract strong interest.
One noticeable trend throughout June was that buyers appeared willing to wait for the “right” home rather than rushing into a purchase. That resulted in a healthier, more balanced marketplace for both buyers and sellers.
What Sold This Month?
The June market showcased exactly what makes Byron unique.
Homes sold in nearly every price category and included:
- Mature ranch-style homes
- Raised bungalows
- Four-level back splits
- Executive family homes
- Luxury Riverbend Golf Community villas
- New construction
- Larger family homes backing onto parks and green space
Sale prices ranged from $588,000 to well over $1 million, illustrating the incredible diversity of Byron’s housing market.
What Buyers Wanted
Reviewing every June sale revealed several consistent buyer preferences.
Homes that sold quickly generally offered one or more of the following:
✅ Updated kitchens
✅ Renovated bathrooms
✅ Finished basements
✅ Double garages
✅ Mature landscaping
✅ Private backyards
✅ Walking distance to parks or schools
✅ Move-in ready condition
It’s becoming increasingly clear that today’s buyers value quality renovations and are prepared to pay a premium for homes requiring little immediate work.
Byron by the Numbers
One of the interesting stories this month wasn’t just what sold, but how homes sold.
Some homes attracted buyers almost immediately, selling in only a few days.
Others remained on the market for several weeks before selling.
The common denominator?
Pricing.
Homes that entered the market at realistic prices generated the strongest activity.
Properties that started above market value generally required more time before attracting the right buyer.

This might be my favourite part of writing these monthly reports.

That’s something statistics alone can never capture.

The Byron market continues to demonstrate remarkable stability.
While buyers have more selection today than they have had in recent years, demand for Byron remains consistently strong because there simply aren’t many neighbourhoods in London that offer the same combination of lifestyle, location, schools, parks, and community spirit.
If you’re considering selling, presentation, pricing, and marketing matter more today than ever before.
If you’re thinking about buying, today’s market provides more opportunities, more choice, and more time to find the right home.
Either way, Byron continues to be one of London’s most desirable places to call home, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
